Finished this one a little while ago and it is with it's new owner by now. But the handle material is just so cool that I thought I'd share some pics and video here as well.
The steel is my favourite Niolox. This one was hardened to 61.5 hrc with Cryo.
The handle material is called Uranium by a company called Raffir. They do a lot of cool stuff with composites and stabilising. And this stuff is some high tech futuristic looking stuff.
The standard color (which can be seen in the video) is white-ish translucent. It'll seem a bit red in the video but that's because of the red G10 liners underneath it.
There's Aluminum shavings throughout the material.
Then when you take it outside (like in the photo's) it reacts to the UV and turns blue. Giving it a completely different look.
Then after it's spent some time in the sun (or other light) and you take it back indoors...or into the dark. You'll see that it has some very cool Glow-in-the-Dark properties.
Anyway, enough rambling. Enjoy the imagery and the grating sound of my voice.
