Hello all. This prototype will be added to my catalog as soon as I get the time to do the web work. Basically a big, tactical, "brush sword". CPM-3V... and a hellava chopper. I've made a few short swords that have been taken to Iraq or Afghanistan, but I wanted to create something that would be really useful for chopping, prying and fighting... with a lot of intimidation factor thrown in for good measure.

Gorgon
1/4" CPM-3V
21" OA, 14.5" blade
carbon fiber scales (removable)
PseudoHamon™ finish
Leather scabbard with lash points and retention snap.

Frikkin' cool:thumbup: I bet that's a blast to attack the brush with:D

Thanks for your prompt reply Kumdo. I'm very interested in it. Hope will available in few time.

:eek:OMG! That is just plain Awesome! It is perfect in every way. The CF scales and that hamon make me giddy! The entire package is a masterpiece! Thanks for sharing that. Looks like I really need to get back to work. :D:thumbup:

Thanks for all the nice replies.

Is it flat ground with a sharpened bevel on top? Looks real nice BTW.

It's a slightly convex grind. The top bevel isn't sharp, although I came close to making it sharp. The flat straight area at the tip makes for a nice surface for smacking with a log or whatever, for heavy splitting chores, but a secondary edge is nice for fighting. I ended up going for the former, as I thought it would be more practical for this piece. However, I will offer it sharp as well.

Thanks again...!

Thats defo an impressive blade. I really like the CF scales

John, any pricing on this model? or a slightly shorter one? it looks awesome....

Excellent!

I recently commisioned a Bush Sword of my own design from Ranger knives.. 23" OAL 17" blade.. looks more like a modern katana, than that.. And I can tell you that your blade will fill an excellent spot in the market.. My Bush Blade is lethal as a self-defence (against animals) and also a wicked bush clearance blade.. 4-5" trunks in 5 hits..

I think that you might also want to consider a less tactical look to the blade for some markets where that looks too weaponised..

Cool deal. :) I'd love to see a video of one in action. I posted some youtubes of mine.

Hey Spyken. I think its bad form to talk $ here... shoot me an email if you'd like details. One thing though, I'm still not taking orders, while I whittle down my backlog. I'm getting close though; it should be about a month or so before I start taking orders again. I'll announce to my mailing list when that happens.

Excellent!

I always offer my knives with a choice of handle materials and blade finish. This time I went with my "pseudo hamon" finish, but I do a lot of satin & the occasional hand rubbed as well. The scales are removable to facilitate easy re-finishing.
..
Thanks for all the feedback, everyone!

If I were holding that blade, I'm sure I'd have a hard time keeping myself from chuckling with a sinister grin on my face.

You're gonna give Jerry a run for his money. I'd happily keep this by my bed.
