Course #1.2 URBAN CONFLICT RESOLUTION
24, 25 and 26 JAN
PRADO OLYMPIC SHOOTING FACILITY
CHINO CALIFORNIA

Psychological and physiological actions and reactions to a threat within 25 yards.

Skills involved include mindset, empty hand, blunt trauma weapons, edged tools and handguns.

Instruction will cover the use of these skills in the home, from an auto, and in general public places.

We are fortunate to have Mr. Pat Rogers and Mr. Steve Tarani on board as our instructors and we will soon place a more extensive write-up on our website including more information on the course as well as qualifications on Rogers and Tarani for those who do not know these men.
Pat Rogers is a veteran operator and instructor, among a few elite individuals who have served in three capacities of conflict. One being a United States Marine, the second being an NYPD officer and the third being an operator on a non-Department of Defense Government Agency involved in counterterrorism and intelligence. Essentially, he has worn all three uniforms, green, blue and black. He currently instructs several US Military assets, Federal Agencies and private contracts as well as being on staff at the Gunsite Academy. Pat can be reached via email at: patrogers3@juno.com
Steve Tarani is an internationally respected contact weapons and personal safety expert. He is a full-time defensive tactics instructor and provides high-profile operational development training for various agencies worldwide. Tarani is the Director of Contact Defense LLC – Operational Skills Development (CA), on staff at the U.S. D.O.E. Nonproliferation and National Security Institute (Central Training Academy) Security Force Training Dept. at Kirtland Air Force Base (NM) and on staff at the prestigious Gunsite Academy (AZ). He can be reached at (949) 515 – 0905 or via www.contactdefense.com for scheduling or directly by e-mail at stevetarani@earthlink.net for more information.
Our course is $500 for the three days and you will need a firearm, 800 rounds of factory ammunition, comfortable clothing, hydration, eye and ear protection. A Military ID, Law Enforcement credential, concealed weapons permit or a letter of good character from your local Sheriff’s department is also necessary due to legal ramifications. The range has a deal for lodging with a Dynasty Suites apx. 10 minutes away in Corona. The phone number is 909 371 7185. Inform the receptionist you are there from the Prado Olympic Shooting Facility and were told to ask for a corporate rate. It is a nice place and easy to reach. Other hotels are nearby as well.
For driving directions to the range use the address 17501 Pamona Rincon Rd., Chino Ca to find the most applicable directions from your location. If you have difficulty, the phone number for the facility is 909 597 4794.

I took this class in Nov.....It totally rocked. The instructors are on the top of the food chain in their respective fields, and the whole class was well balanced. It is worth every penny of the tuition. If you really like to train and hone your skills, you will not be dissappointed.

Duane

Is there any chance you guys could do a class in New England around next years NY Knife Show??? I ask this because I can't make any of these killer classes you guys are holding on the West Coast.

Maybe we could post a topic and feel out how many people would be interested in an East Coast class?

I would love the chance to train with you guys and you have put some impressive people together in the class!

Thanks

I think Dean C. Down in NC was talking about setting something up is there any news on this? An NC class would work for me also!

Spartan Ajax,
We are working on getting a class at Pat Goodale's facility in West by God Virginia.
We are working out dates with Ken Cambell at the Boone Couty SO range in Indiana also.

But NE in November??
Nah, we don't need any practice being miserable.
Neither do you. You can't learn a lot when you are miserable...

Hey,
We are researching venues worldwide. There is some talk of a Texas venue but it is still under construction. The course requires a few specifics in order to be done to our standards and anyone who has a venue in mind is encouraged to contact me via email to discuss further involvement. Other areas where venues are being investigated are:
West Virginia
North Carolina
New Hampshire
Illinois
Indiana
Florida
Arizona
Further information will be posted when it is confirmed.
Thanks for your interest,
Duane Dwyer

Spartan, yea I am trying to get something going, but with alot of people out of the net around here and the folks I need to talk to either coming or going it is making it a bit tough, I'll keep on trying though as I think it would be the heat to make it happen.
Could always just say screw it and do it in my back yard, although people living next to me would prob have nothing nice to say about it.
Take care. Dean

Duane,

New Hampshire would be sweet.
Something in conjunction with Sig Arms in Epping NH might be good. I trained there in a 3 day course and the range facilities are awsome. They have a full 360 degree range area.
It is close to me here so thats COOL and I have two Sigs. When I took the course all ammo was included free with price of course. Thats a plus knowing you don't have to 1. Lug 1000 rounds of ammo traveling or 2. Find ammo in the area. Its all here.

I would think there have to be quite a few guys out here on the East Coast that would love to train with your group.

There are a host of great range areas in NH also.

If you want a NH site Sig Arms Training is it.

I will E-mail you contact info.

Thanks.

Dean,

Backyard sounds great! Hell maybe we could even use the house!

Just Kidding!

I would love to have an East Coast training group with the Strider guys!

Have you done anything at BlackWater?

Duane,

I here the first class was great, I spoke to some of the students and they had nothing but raves for course content and instructional delivery. No surprise there, I expected nothing less from Pat or Steve. But it feels great to be proven correct. A great deal of interest here in the Northern Virginia area, just from word of mouth we could fill more than a few classes with persons who may well find need for skills you are teaching. I realize the current international state of affairs is keeping everyone jumping. But you owe it to the polite (well) armed populace of this country to continue forward with this program.

Thanks,
John Mattera
