How To Urgent!!Bugout 535 knife counterfeit problem

Hello all,

So i just purchased a used bugout 535 knives on eBay and I just found out that it looks like a counterfeit one. Can anybody help me verifying this knife? What should I do to convince eBay that this knife is counterfeit to get a refund??

if you look at the bottom 3 holes, it is silver not black, the thumb stud shape is quite off, and the clip looks off too from original.

the bottom picture of the knife is the picture from the seller.

Many here have decided not to give out details on why a knife is a countfeit, fear of cloners will use them to improve. We simply tell if it looks like a fake or not, if we can.

In your case, the bugout does look off to me.

I would contact Benchmade customer service (do not send them the knife), explain the problem and ask for comment, and then provide their response to EBay. They should be able to tell you if your example is legit.

good news, seller gave me a full refund. any idea how to report this guy to the law enforcement?

If he sold it used then I don't think LE will follow up bc there's no way to prove he knew it was fake, but you could report it to the eBay folks

Don’t bother, they don’t care. You might want to report to EBay but I wouldn’t expect much, I once reported a seller who had Enduras in various colors that were never made (pink, white, zombie green with blood etc) in “440C” and they didn’t do anything.
