urgent!! (how to tell if its a 154cm or a 420hc on EDC)

help needed people cant tell the difference.. and im going down to get it today. shop claims its a 154cm but theres no statement on blade saying it is. what are the tell tale signs that i can use???
 
If the blade doesn't have "154CM" printed on it, you're looking at 420HC steel. Don't let 'em BS you.
 
Nathan has it nailed it will also have 1 of 500 etched into the blade.
This is one heck of a nice knife. I think they did a great job with it. Very secure lockup great ergonomics.
 
That's right. You may want to bring it to the shop owner's attention. All of the 154CM EDC's are marked "154CM" but the 420HC versions are not.
 
Two tell tales -

1. The box will say 2201 or 2211 on it for 154CM models. 420HC will only say 220 or 221.

2. The blade will say 1 of 500 and 154CM on it.
