Urgent!!!! Need Help With My Gerber!

I tried to bend the clip on me overly tight Harsey Air Ranger and it just snaps right back. i don't have the tools to take the clip off. so i need to know how to bend the clip while it is on the knife. Suggestions?

If you note where you live, there may be some one on this forum who can help you out in person. If not then I advise you take your knife down to the nearest hardware store and have the clerk help you find the right driver. Alsom get a pair of pliers. Remove the clip with the driver then hold the the clip with the pliers right at the screw holes and bend the clip out a little at a time. Be careful when you reinsert the screws since the knife handle is aluminum, cross threading would ruin the threads in the scales.

For adjusting clip-strength with the clip mounted on the knife, a wedge provides controlled bending of the clip. The amount of bending is a function of how far the wedge is pushed under the clip.

Screwdrivers and pliers are not recommended.
