I just picked up a Cub and I am disappointed in the factory kydex sheath. It is extremely difficult to disengage the knife (even with the retention screw set at the minimum tension), and the belt loop is so large the whole knife/sheath flops around on my belt. I would like something more sleek (and have the option for pocket carry) and I have heard armatus has a smaller offering. Checking the reviews I noticed that these have not been totally positive either.
I prefer kydex over leather, and maybe a better retention system (utilclip - which one?) would work with the factory sheath to keep things secure (on the belt at least).
Just thought I would throw this out to the list to get recommendations from more experienced users. Your advice is much appreciated.
