I'm looking to add US gear to my camping pack. I try to keep everything US...doing pretty well but am always happy for suggestions.

Always good to see someone doing what they can to support manufacturers in their own country. What gear are you in need of?

Nothing, frankly. I'm stocked up on Filson, Emberlit, knives (by me :)), Exotac, Avet, etc. Just want to support US jobs. Anything cool is good with me ;).

Kifaru has it's factory in Denver I believe and most of their gear is U.S. made. Founder Patrick Smith formerly owned Mountainsmith. They have a pretty broad range of products, not just their line of packs.

Mystery Ranch backpacks. Spendy but you won't be disappointed. Even a trip to their website is fun. I also carry Surefire flashlights. If you like to fly fish and catch your dinner, Sage rods, Burkheimer rods, Abel reels. One of my big motivations as a craftsperson is to try and support local or at least made in USA and/or Canada. Better and original designs, lifetime quality, and more often than not, real product support.

+1 for Kifaru. I just got an EMR, and it is beyond any expectation I could have imagined. 100% USA made, and it is bombproof.

As far as knives, Busse & kin are amazing. Especially Busses sister companies, excellent product for the price.

+1 on Hydroflask... Amazing insulated bottles. Last week at work I had mine packed with ice+water, then was out of the office for over a day... I got back about 36 hours later and it still had ice...

+1 on Hill People Gear... Although I don't know that all their stuff is %100 American made. I know the Mountain Serape, for instance, was not originally produced in the US, though that has since changed...
