Don't mean to start a war... But how are we feeling about knives made in the United States vs China vs the rest of the world?
I was a hardcore Busse guy for a bunch of years, and now that Zero Tolerance seems to have got their shit together after this year's lineup shows, I'm calling ZT a favorite again. I think made in the US means I'm willing to pay a premium for that. American jobs and all that.
There's no question we're seeing some enticing stuff coming out of China. But, well... Cheap Chinese stuff undercuts American makers in a big way -- across many industries.
And then there's the knives from the rest of the world... Some of my favorite Bowie knives are made by Svord in New Zealand. Those guys do amazing stuff, and it feels better to buy them than any made in China.
Thoughts?
