US Military looking to replace the KABAR?
Have heard this to be in the works anybody have the latest greatest intel?
Sound like it would be worth persuing;)

I thought they kinda already did. The USMC went to a new bayonet this year with a kabar blade shape. I think it's made by Camillus.

The Kabar was never standard issue when I was in the Marines. In one unit, we had Kabars for SNCOs, but I think they were purchased by our unit.
 
Whoa! Hold on, which branch of service do you refer to when you say US military?
There's a war on. And there have been lot's of new blades pressed into the various branches of the military. Most have been off the shelf commercial products, whilst others were newly designed for a specific military requirement.

Here is some info about the M9 Bayonet/Knife. There is an Ak47 version and an Israli version. The knife and bayonet have merged together these days. They are alot more knife than bayonet (only really good for crowd control).
