US Swedish Collab

Last year in Atlanta a few of us decided to make a knife for the art of it. I did the blade and then it went to Sweden where Staffan Pantzar did the handle and Michael Almqvist the carving. Its on the way back to the US now for a Justin Reichert sheath. I really enjoyed doing this one and found in the blending of styles freedom and fun. Absolutely beautiful knife! I hope to get to see it in person. You say your going to have it at Blade? Lin:thumbup:
 
I hope it makes it to the Blade show some how, but international shipping is always a crap shoot as far as time tables. Anders Hogstrom makes some fine pieces. It should be a great collab as well. Thanks for the kind words guys.
 
Very nice. The handle and carving are very Scadinavian without looking typically "Scandi" for lack of a better term and the damscus pattern would look right at home on a Viking style art dagger. The blade shape ,on the other hand, is All American. Excellent blend of styles. :thumbup: :D
 
I think Pantzar used mammoth, reindeer, silver,and curly birch for the handle. There has been light communications during the project with each artisan telling the other to do their own thing. The whole deal has been an exercise in creative expression.

Any one knows what hapened to tis knife? Iv never seen it ready... just curious about it
