USA blanks

Good morning,

I lack a bandsaw but own a grinder and would like to buy a USA made hidden tang forged blade for a project i'm starting, does anyone have a suggestion ? So far all i've been able to find by web surfing the last two days are imported.

Jantz Supply advertises that several of their blade blanks are made in the USA. I don't know about all of them, but you could ask.

They have some nice looking USA damascus blanks.
 
Are you wanting blanks that are profiled but not ground? Ones that will have to be heat treated?

If you buy the finished blade blanks, all you really have to do is put the handle of your choice on them. Not really any grinding to do.
 
Gene Martin at custom knife.com has some interesting blades he forges. They need to be finished, but I plan to pick one up and try it.
