My Schrade LB7 got knocked off the desk and into the trash. I burnt the trash with the knife in it. I now need another. I am a big hunter/trapper/fisherman and my Schrade was my go to knife. It went thousands of miles with me and dressed a huge amt of game. I just want a good knife thatis the same size and is good and heavy. I also want to be able to sharpen it and it stay sharp through a deer.

I need another USA LB7 OR one that is as good that won't break the bank.

Where can I get one or an equivalent?????

There are so many out there and I don't know what steel is what I need...

i have thought buck or case but not sure what to do.?????

HELP!

How about a Buck 110? Very similiar knives; the Schrades were I think 440A stainless, possibly the later ones were 420HC. The standard Bucks are 420HC hardened to 58 RC, better than some knives in the same price range. Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas also offer special versions, the Bass Pro version in 154CPM and the Cabelas version in S30V. The Buck Custom Shop also will build a custom order 110 with a big selection of steels and handle options. Case also makes a similiar knife, called the Shark Tooth. It is also available as the "XX Changer", with interchangeable blades. If you had time to look around at some older hunting and cutlery shops or flea markets, you can still find a few brand new unsold made in USA genuine Schrades around. Good luck finding a new knife.

+1 for a Buck 110.
Like Phil said, it's real similar to your lost Schrade. (BTW condolences on that.)

Also +1 for the buck 110, I've had lb7's in the past and the 110 a very good replacement. I prefer the ag buck 110, the s30v is a good improvement.

go to ebay. i have bought about 20 LB7s there in the last 6 months. some go back to 1979 (2nd year of production); some are mint never carried, most have sheaths, all are 100 % perfect functioning, solid lock up,blades unsharpened or only slightly and average price ? about $18 to $20 !
The LB7 is a fantastic knife; if there is a knife hall of fame, the LB7 would be there as one of the best USA knives ever. but, beware of post 2004 Schrade knives; they have a different manufacturer, some USA, most China. roland

I have a Buck 110 from the 80's and an original Schrade in lb7, both great knives.
