Hey guys, i like many, try to buy USA made products especially those that I carry with me every day. I am currently in a dilemma right now in looking for a new EDC light. I have been carrying a small lux-pro keychain light, but I am wanting something a little more powerfull and that I can mount to the Pic Rail of my 22. So here is the qualities Im looking for-

USA made, or at least assembled in the USA with outsourced parts
Preferable single AA battery
Push Button Activation
100 lumens or more
Price range of $60 or less if that is possible

I have been looking at the Maglite xl200 but it seems like it is really fat and I really dislike that it takes 3 AAA batteries, also the body looks like it does not have very much traction. I also looked at the MAGtac but it doesn't take AAs and is kind of large. I know I don't have many options in this price range but I was wandering if you guys had anymore selections

I think you are looking for a unicorn. Your not going to find anything in that price range. You are going to have to compromise at least two of your "qualities".

Check out the variety that RMSK has. They sell all made in USA lights. I do think you'll have to spend a bit more though....

I was afraid of that, but I figured I would ask and see if there was one I was missing.

Zebralight assembles their stuff in the USA I believe with foriegn sourced parts.

Malkoff MDC AA is $105 and completely made and assembled here. I bought the CR123 version for $75 a few weeks ago used.

You may need to increase your budget or settle for a good foreign made light.

Surefire is coming down on their single cell lights. Elzetta makes good stuff too, I love my Alpha. Both are $100+ and take CR123 batteries though.

Peak makes good stuff and are American made. I’m not sure they are AA lights though. I believe they are fond of AAA.

The EagTac D25A and Thrunite T10 are both great lights.

I’d also highly suggest the Streamlight Microstream. Less than $20, single AAA, single mode, supports 10440 batteries, rear forward click switch, great pocket clip. Early next year they are releasing a dual mode version with built in USB charging.

WOW! Thank you! I'll check those out for sure. Thank you very much!

Pelican used to make a lot of their industrial lights in the US or Canada, but haven't kept up with them. Judging by prices many are imported now, their CS is great though as is their warranty so a phone call or email could get you that info.

Try Armytek... Made in Canada... Pretty close, eh?

I think I have decided on the surefire g2x pro. I just found this model and it is a little large and takes cr123a batteries but it fits the bill in every other category, dual mode with I think 300 lumens on high and 15 on low, as well as a clicker tail cap which I know i would prefer given im handicapped and Im afraid I will have trouble with a twist activation. Only around $55 too which after further searching and research of the other lights suggested here, I don't think I will be able to beat.
Boy I did not expect a surefire to be the bargain light! haha

I believe Armytek’s are made in China with some final assembly in Canada.

Surefire lights may not be fully made in the USA, things are a bit vague with them.

Malkoff is the only one I know of besides very high end lights that are fully made in the USA. They still have to outsource some components though.

After some looking around, I was able to get the surefire gx2 pro for $40. Thank you all for the help I think I'm going to like the new gear!

Just placed an order for a Surefire 6PX Pro. $38 plus shipping. Smokin' deal for an American made light.

Dang that is a good deal! I thought about one of those but I had a gift card to acedemy, so I went ahead and got it from there.
My light will be here Tuesday and I can't wait!
