Hey guys, hopefully you more knowledgeable fellas can point me in a direction.. recently, I've decided I wanted to add a small, us manufactured, traditional folder to my meager collection.. specifically one manufactured in my birth year 1979 (December '79 would be cool, if it's possible to date them that specifically). The bay has options for Case, Western cutlery, ect.. claiming to be manufactured in 1979. Is there some sort of resource that could help me confirm the dates on some of these knives?? I appreciate any insight. This could possibly be cross-posted in the Wtb?

Last question. Do you guys think it's worth it to make a wtb here? Considering what I'm looking for to be so specific. Obviously, I'd much rather deal with you folks. Or should I just hit the bay?

Edit: looks like I just won an auction for a really nice camillus us knife, as suggested. My 8-year-old boy was next to me, and thought it was super cool too. Looking for a nice Case now..

All of the Schrade 75th Anniversary knives were made in 1979.

Also the Schrade racoon scrimshaw barlow knife was done in 1979, those are dated on the front next to Frank Giorgianni's signature:

This Western lockback has the C date code for 1979, a very well made stainless steel hunter.
