I'm trying to find a USA-made knife that has a hook opener similar to the Kershaw Emerson CQC-line's Wave feature. It would be an EDC/utility knife so it can't be anything crazy looking, i.e. just like the Kershaw Emerson CQC's but not made in China. If you have any suggestions, can you please let me know?

Thanks for your help!

Well, there’s always actual Emerson knives, not the Kershaw manufactured versions.... Spyderco has the Delica and Endura available with the Wave, but made in Japan. The Spyderco Paramilitary 2, which is made in the US, is available with the Wave. The only other brand I can think of is Southern Grind, which has it available on their Bad Monkey model, and are US made.

Thanks for that. The Google had failed me on being able to find those before I did the original post.

DPX Hest made by Lionsteel also has a wave type opener that doubles as a bottle opener. But its made in Italia.

There's also the HEST Urban, which is made by Southern Grind in the U.S. for DPX. Not sure how long that relationship will continue since Southern Grind was just sold to new owners, but some of them can probably still be found at dealers.

Zero Tolerance 620 or 630.

A company called Snaggletooth makes wave mods for benchmades (and cold steels).
