Howdy, Buck fans! I was perusing the Buck website and comparing the Bantam and the Bucklite Max. Both are "Made in the USA of USA and imported parts." Do you know what parts are imported?

The handle material only as far as I know. The Bantam series was all offshore until a couple years ago, when they brought em to the US. I have figgered once the china handle stock was used up, the packaging would change to all USA made. Maybe that wont be the case.

I dont have any new style Bucklites and wasnt aware that they had the same verbage.

The label on the Bantam series knives mentions imported parts being used. The Bucklite Max labels, at least the several I have, don't say that, just made in the USA. The only place I see that is on Bucks web site. Could it be a mistake? It wouldn't be the first mistake on the web site.

Ahhh, bummer. The bantam is a better knife, but I'd like to keep it domestic. Maybe just wait till all production is moved back to the US.

I see the Buck trademark as a rock-solid assurance that I will have a product that will give me excellent service.

I also see it as a rock-solid guarantee that if something is wrong they will make it right or die trying.

Thus I don't care if it's made in Texas or Mongolia.....I know it's made to a standard called perfection and will last me (or somebody) for life.

:)

My Bucklite Max also just says Made in USA, no mention of imported parts on the box. I don't own any Bantams.
