Sorry if this tip is obvious to all, but over the years I've been frequenting these forums... this is one of the best and most simple tips I've seen for using a knife lanyard. I remember seeing it from someone else on the Wilderness & Survival forum and thought I'd revive it here for all you Hogs.
I like using brightly colored reflective cords because if I drop/lose a Busse, my intent is to recover it
It takes a bit of trial and error to get the right length. This particular variety is Sterling Rope Co. GLOcord 2.75mm.

I'd be interested in hearing whether anyone else uses lanyards this way, or if there are other variations that you've found useful.
