There are so many threads that ask:
What's the best survival knife?
What's the best one knife for camping?
What's the one knife that can "do it all" in the woods?
What's the toughest knife?
What's the best knife for abuse?
What's the one knife to have if the world comes to an end?
What's the one knife that can do it all?
Any of us that have used knives for a while know that there is no one knife that is best in these categories as all design criteria and material selection involve compromise.
All of that being said, and despite it's arguable shortcomings in perhaps filleting trout, chopping down big trees or what have you ... the BK2 does so many things so well and many, many more things well enough that when you throw in the indestructible factor, can anyone think of a better knife to use, abuse, loan, lend and beat on with abandon than the Mighty BK2?
In fact, when one considers the cost of replacement as part of the equation, even the risk of loss is reasonably mitigated compared to similarly capable competitors.
In case you haven't figured it out by now, I am a fan of the BK2. Those of you who get more dirt time and time afield with your Campanions, please - by all means - post pics!
