Ok guys, heres the deal. While on a weekend vaca. to Little Gasparilla Island on the Gulf Coast this summer, i was walking along the beach. As I'm walking, i spot a coconut. I thought "Hey, im gonna open it!" turns out it proved to be incredibly tough. So what do i do, i whip out my sog flash 2 go get the job done. after about 10 minutes of hard prying and scrapping, which the edge held up to surprisingly well, my knife had gotten a little sand in it from my hands and the fruit. Theres no ponds or lakes around right, but there is the ocean. I give it a thorough wash-out in the saltwater and start heading back to the beachouse that im staying in.(its about a 20-30 min walk btw) When i get inside the 1st thing i do is rinse off my knife in the tap. was pretty thorough with it, and set it out to dry for and hour or two. I come back that afternoon and shazam! My knife is still PERFECT! No rust spots, or sticking blade. Needless to say i am a lifelong believer of the flash for this sole reason.
