No, United Cutlery is one company that just licenses out the USMC name and puts it on their crap. BudK, UC, whatever it is.

The katanas and kukris and stilettos made in China have not a dang thing to do with anything used or issued by the military or by anyone who likes good bladed tools, knives, swords, whatever. Save your cash, I would caution.

It IS sad that the Marines would so flippantly license their name to that stuff. But yeah, the licencing is real but the products are just nonsense.

770g? Some infantry sabres weight about that much. Ive got an 18" short sword & a 16" kukri with a starting spine thickness of 8mm that weigh more then 200g less then this.

Its almost impressively heavy, really. So impressive that im inclined to think that this weight is an entry error. How could it be possible?
