Got a used 60T from that bidding site, says USA of the blade but no serial number like on my LB7 that I've had for 20 years. Is this normal?

Yes. Not many Old Timer patterns were serialized. Mostly the Uncle Henrys until even that was discontinued eventually.

let's see the 165 OT (your favorite) was serialized, which others? (good chance to expand our knowledge).

I know of no other OT except the 15OT with a serial number. Any others would be commemoratives or SFOs?

That's pretty much my thinking. I don't recall any serialized production Old Timer folders. And I only have the Sears American Eagle version of the 41OT so I can't say about that pattern.

While we are on a trivia roll, name the Old Timers which were always stainless? The 41OT, a short run bird and trout pattern was. It was tang marked "SS" on the pile side.

93OT, 98OT. And... 126OT, 226OT and a version of the Sharpfinger, all for export to Europe.

okay we all know the rules here, if you mention a knife one must post photos of it. looked and they are not in my collection.

the 7OT's went thru three phases. 4 pin carbon then 3 pin carbon and then 3 pin stainless. the 9 OT was stainless. the 5 OT came first in carbon then stainless.

is it just my bad eyesight or is the stamping on different blades or the blades are arranged differently?
