I used a sharpening steel on my folders. I have 2 spydercos in ATS 55. I was shocked at the sharpness. I normally don't use a steel on my tactical stuff but after I finished working on my kitchen knives, I felt like doing more sharpening.
I can get a hair popping edge on stone but these knives were able to shave off a layer of skin.
I also tried to use the steel on my AUS8 ABC Hammond. It wasn't effective. I think because of the steepness of the grind.
Anybody steel their knives?
