I'm going to a knife show on the other side of Maryland in April, and I always make sure to drop by a used bookstore chain in the area. They buy books, I have a load of books that should fill up my 8 ft truck bed, and will use that credit at the store. Luckily, the store is about a block down from where the show is being held, and there is another store on the way home that I will likely stop at also. Yeah, this place smells like books, but not old dirty musty books. I've found quite a few wilderness/knife/outdoors type books at both stores. I've gotten quite a few books lately at Barnes and Noble, and there is a Barnes and Noble in the area that I will be visiting, but you just can't match a couple hours in a used bookstore. I have seen a few junk malls, antique shops and flea markets with books, but most of the used bookstores out there have gone under. Even some of the ones all over the resort areas in MD and NJ have gone under, at least the ones I haunted.

I posted this in Community because the question is about used bookstores in general, but I guess if we want to start naming names, this should be moved to TGBU. MODs call.
