Used evenheat noise

I bought a used evenheat kiln made in 2000. It works fine but is very noisy, it hums really loud, its 220 volt model. I noticed after it reaches target temp, and restarts it's not as loud . Is this normal

I'd ask in the knifemaker's section, might get more answers there. Or check with the manufacturer
