Used JKs

We all love to show off John's handi-work as soon as we get them.

Anyone care to share a pic or two of your used JKs?

I took some recent shots of my favorite that John made for me.

This was my AK EDC back on 7/16/09 just after I got it.:thumbup:

Now after a month of real everday carry and use.

I think it looks better today than a month ago.:thumbup:

Thanks for a great knife John. It has done everything I have needed it to do.

Really this little beauty has replaced all my other fixed blades.Not counting my little ultra mini nessmuck fire kit, but I only use that to start fires.

It is on my belt or in my pocket every day. It has done everything from building shelters,traps,batoning small diameter firewood, food prep,opening packages, cardboard boxes, mail, even slicing up a carpet we replaced.

It has been my only fixed blade on several dayhikes.I trust it that much.

John did a great job on the grind and heat treat of this one, it holds its edge well and all I have ever had to do is give it 5-10 passes on some 1000grit to bring it back to shaving sharp.

And it is a "one-of-a-kind".

No..not your knives.

My little knife-nut son has has a mental list of knives from my collection that I am not allowed to sell or trade off.

Your knives have made that list.

You see he has already planned out his inheritance.

Sometimes it makes me wonder if he has overheard the ex planning something.

And, Todd A, that little AK EDC is absolutely awesome. I would go out of my way to find excuses to use a knife like that. There would be a trail of fuzzed sticks in my wake!

I know John often jokes that he wonders if anyone actually uses his knives so I think this thread is a great idea and yes John we do use them, lol !!!

Mine is no were near as patinaed.
It is only slightly stained and a dull grey. But I am trying.

My little ultra mini Nessmuck is really getting there. I seem to use John's smaller knives more often.
