I'm selling my Tachyon. This knife is used, but not really carried, meaning that it has been flipped a bunch, but never "used" as a EDC knife. It has cut some paper and myself a few times, but that's it. The tip is needle sharp, and there are no major scratches, gouges, dings, etc, except for the base of the safe handle, which I'll show below. I am not the original owner, but I don't think it was used before I got it. This is not a MIB safe queen! Buy it, flip it, enjoy it.
The blade is 14-4CrMo steel and appears to be stonewashed with some sort of black coating on it. I never really did get the skinny on exactly what the coating is. It's not a black oxide like Microtech used on many of their knives (nor is it DLC, or like any other coating I've ever seen). The coating itself has no gouges or scratches that I can see.
Click the pics for larger images of the knife, then click the pic in the new window for bigass pictures. Sorry they're not of higher quality, but the lighting in my dank apartment isn't the best for photography.

As the knife has been a flipper, the base of safe handle has been marked/chewed up a bit from the latch banging against it, and from engaging and disengaging the lock. If you flip/use your Tachyon, such damage is basically unavoidable without removing the latch entirely.

The knife did not come with a nylon velcro sheath like most Tachyons did, but instead came with a very cool Kydex sheath meant for IWB belt carry.

Unfortunately, I did not receive a box when I bought the knife all those years ago.
My initial asking price is SOLD!, shipped USPS Priority with insurance. PayPal preferred.
This price might be a bit high; I don't know. Tachyons don't come up for sale very often, so I can't really gauge the value of this knife, in this condition, without actually selling it. If it doesn't sell for my initial asking price, I'll periodically reduce the price until it sells. I'll entertain offers, but gross lowball offers will be politely ignored.
I reserve the right to refuse sale to anybody for any reason that makes me feel uncomfortable. Including, but not limited to, bad/no prior feedback, sketchy/unreasonable requests, I think you're a Liu Kang shill, you smell funny, etc. I apologize for being a hardass about this, but there's been too much BS in GB&U the past few years, and too many good buyers out there, to deal with people that I'm unsure about. An "I'll take it" does not trump other prospective buyers.
I will only sell and ship this knife to a buyer within the USA. Too much hassle selling overseas these days.
The ONLY trade I'm interested in making right now is for a Spyderco Street Beat (plus cash of course). Please do not waste our time with other trade offers.
