Used my Beckers in the Kitchen Tonight

Tonight a prepared a dinner for my friends and mother. I used both Mr. Beckers knives and his book The Joy of Cooking. I made a roast pork loin with rosemary and olive oil. I made an orange sauce to go on it. For sides a prepare black eye peas, roasted onions , and potato salad with cream cheese. I used Ethan's southern sweet tea recipe for beverages. I use my eskabar to prep the onions and peal the potatoes, works well as a paring knife. Used the Bk7 to chop and crush garlic with. The Bk 9 was used to cut up oranges and make slits in the loin for stuffing garlic and rosemary into. The food was delicious, the knife preformed well. I'm a happy nurse. I afraid I didn't get any pictures , was in a hurry. But i'll try tomorrow when i make Cuban sandwiches. To any one who doesn't have a copy I highly recommend The Joy of Cooking. After flipping through it I discovered that it can take from zero cooking knowledge, to well rounded cook/ dinner host in no time. So run out and get it today.

PICS!

Without em this thread is severely lacking.

no pics, banning offense :)

i hear the BK5/BK15 is great is the kitchen and the plate

the BK5 is esp good at removing pits from avocados :>

No pics? WTF Ranger.

Joy of Cooking is THE cookbook. Not because of Ethan, but because the shit works. And quite well.

Just got done with a Toxic Hell (taco bell) lunch, and after reading that, I felt gyped in my lunch choice. :D
