Can the blade discoloration on the Emerson be removed with some light scrubbing/washing? Just curious!

Hope you do not mind me adding this to your post so I do not BTT this thread.
Anyway I doubt it. It is a bead blasted blade and the stains are mostly from tree and vine sap. This knife has seen some use without a doubt.

The BM CQC7 is still available. Lockup on this is quite solid with no blade play.
When opened the liner stops at about the middle of the tang. (a tad to the left of the tang when opened gently, a tad to the right when flicked.)
