Usefullness of Schrade 171 Uh

I don't hunt anymore and only use fixed blades for camping. i do plan on getting a 171 one day but I have a question. As a hunting knife wasn't it too big to be practical. Like the looks of it but would like replies as to it's usefillness.

i use it when i go out to my back yard to do chopping of vines and things, works out real well for that. camping it might be pretty good sub for a small hatchet.
