i started out to make a simple rime on some thing to put in the mail with some thing i am sending to forida and ended up with this long 'thing'
well i did not want to bore them in fla and could not figure out what else to do with it so i decided to post these words of today to toruer you here!
i hope i no one knows were the street i live on is...or what car i drive...
There were words we thought we would always know
When a computer was only seen on a Sci-Fi show.
No longer do these words make rime or reason,
As now we are in the computer season.
Memory error was some thing that granddad had
And to not forget he used a pencil and a pad.
A cookie was good thing that mommy made,
And windows were never done by a maid.
Crash was the sound of a dish hitting the floor,
Enter was what you did at a door.
Embed was were you went to sleep
And Ram was not a female sheep!
To cut and paste you used scissors and glue,
But a virus was a bug that caused the flu.
Zip was what you did to your pants or it was funny,
A browser was a shopper that spent no money.
IM was how you referred to your self,
And AjaX was always kept on a shelf.
A mouse pad was were the critter went to rest,
Perhaps on platform in his nest.
A spreadsheet was how you made your bed -
But you backed up when some ones face got red!
And C + was a good grade and it was cool,
A Dbasse would get you held after school.
Basic was the first place in the army you went,
Java was a cup of Joe and only cost .10 cent!
Website was a place that web crawling spiders went,
Script was a way to write and not print.
You compressed a file to put in the trash,
But in a bank you keep CDs and cash!
A program you got at a base ball game,
And a cursor was always called profane.
Unzipping in public could land you in jail!
Then you were locked up and needed bail!
An application could get you hired,
But no compatibility got you fired!
A blog was a swamp that was very dense,
Gateway was an opening in a fence.
Spam was something made from ham,
Plug in was what you did with a fan.
Network a fisherman did on a dock,
A hot key you made to thaw a lock.
Run was what you did from bad dogs,
Gig you did to catch frogs.

Apple was food that fell from a tree,
A pod was some thing full of peas.
Eight bits was a really really big tip,
Hard drive was a very rough trip.
I hear no one has died in computer crashes,
But when it happens every one dashes.
Logon was adding wood to a fire,
CIA had spy ware for hire!
So many words have now changed meaning -
It is no wander my mind is screaming!!
So many changes every day and night-
All I can say is it mega bites!!
