User Name search?

If the search function is used to locate a User Name but the member has never posted in a thread will the search still result in the members profile? I have attempted to locate some feedback or the profile page of a member but the search only revealed:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
 
Let me have the user name and I should be able to find it.
You do have to spell it exactly right.
 
Thank you Karda. I have tried it several times with different variations but it always returns with, "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms". Was that also your result?

Nope, i typed it in as i described above and his profile popped right up.
 
Ok thank you Karda. Perhaps something with my computer does not allow the profile or any other reference to him to come up? I've tried again several times but still get the "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms" message other than now this thread is identified in the key word section. Weird but possibly something on my end. Thank you again.

It seems to me you should've been able to find his profile by using the directions i gave. I don't think the search function operates any differently for registered users that it does for paid members. Keep trying different things with it. It took me awhile to learn how to use it when i first started.
