user needs info on Maringer

I'm not a maker, but I need some tech advice on some knives I just purchased a 3 piece Tom Maringer custom set, called 'Mercenary'. Two Vorpal fighters and a skeletonized tanto backup in a 3 sheath shoulder rig.
I worked at the House of Blades in TX for a while; this set was there for several years and I just broke down and bought it. I was wondering ballpark value and also the possibility of cryo. I don't intend to ever sell them; strictly an investment and working purchase.
I have a Strider and am pleased with its durability. The Maringer set is an investment and I want to do within reason anything to extend its working life. Would cryo for all 3 knives degrade their appearance, edgeholding etc.?
seeking cryo for dummies....
 
You came to the riht place, we have a small Tom Maringer cult here. I have a Vorpal Bowie. I am definitely not the most knowledgeable maker here, but I would not touch the Maringer's, they are ready for duty and built to last a lifetime. If you are going to use them, wipe them down with a Tuff-Cloth or similar corrosion retardant. Got any pics?

very cool...I found a post on here with a scan of TM's old catalog; they blades are already sub-0 treated. as soon as I can scan some pics I will post them and put a link in here.
I got in touch with Tom M. via email; the set was special custom made many years ago. The shop owner at the HOB where I was working said an SF fellow who took them down Panama way sold them after getting out of the service (?).... they are the best looking blades I have ever seen, and I plan to acquire more of Maringer's stuff whenever my pocketbook allows.
 
The catalog scans are mine. I wish I could acquire a few more myself. Another forum member is selling a few of his, including a Vorpal sword, which I desire very much. I am buying equipment, so I will just have to admire it from afar.
