OK RATS,

Looking for advice/opinions.
As many of you know my well loved user RMD (CG) came up missing yesterday.
Gotta make a user out of a safe queen so which would you use???

CG
CS satin
Swatmandu
Satin INFI du
Big Finish INFI du
?????
 
BFI, They were built to use. :) (I know they all were, .....but)

Haven't gotten my BIG INFI du's but here are a few of the others to choose from.

 
If you've used the cg enough to miss it, stay with that. No need to mess up some satin or dcbb goodness. They're still readily available from the shop also if I remember correctly.
 
The CG RMD is one of the finest user knives currently out. With all the different models of RMD out now I still don't believe a single one had been made that makes a better user than the factory CG model.
 
I use my custom shop satin. It's a great one with the full flat grind for most stuff I can think of.
 
I would have to put that custom shop satin with the flat grind through the paces, I just wouldn't be able to help myself. Nice bunch of blades, man.

Dave, I'm with Pat on this!!! That SR101 is just hard to put down in a small knife and the edge is remarkable...

Since the BIG INFI Du's aren't in the house yet, I'm with Hard Knocks on this -----^
 
Mulder, what exactly do you ask the shop for to get the handles on that bottom Swatmandu?
 
Guys...for the record, the FFG custom shop RMDs are called RMD SE as in special/show edition. They were first offered and perhaps only offered at Blade a few years ago--don't remember if they made it into a Ganza.

The RMD CG and SE are my most often used RMDs but every variant is a good user knife.

I'm pretty sure you could have and still can order one of those direct from the Custom Shop, I don't believe it is show only by any means as they have both the blanks and ability to make you one currently. It's just a standard RMD CG that's been reground to full flat geometry and satin finished.

Cool. Either way it's still often referred to as a RMD SE.
