Username change

I am presently a non paying knife maker registered with my e-mail prefix rather than my name. In your sticky it states:

2. Place your order for a username change ($10).

This seems to be set up for paid members (and make sense in that circumstance). I would like to start a paid membership but use my name....can't I do that without paying an extra $10?

If that's legit and acceptable I'll do that. I'm a rules nerd and I never want to knowingly violate a rule, especially when I am a guest in someone's house (forum). Are you sure that's OK?

By getting a paid name change, your original 2007 date transfers over, and so do your 415 previous posts. If these are not particularly important to you, then log out as deloid, and reregister under the new name you want and go for a paid membership under the new name.

May I get your recommendation concerning the easiest approach ( I will pay for the name change)? Pay for membership, wait, then request a name change versus trying to do the whole thing in one shot. I suspect there might not be fields for this in the paid membership form but I wouldn't know.

No, there is no way to do the name change in a paid membership payment, two separate programs.
Go ahead and upgrade your membership. Once it goes through, change your name.
