Why is email visible for some users and not others when I click on their user name? Trying to contact seller in knife exchange and email is not available.

It's a personal choice. For folks like that if they've got no contact info all you can do is up to a higher level of membership and PM them.
 
Each person can select to enable or disable the email option. People posting ads should have their contact options enabled.
 
Ok, thanks. So if I'm interested and the seller states to email him but its not visible to me then I guess it's time to move on.
 
You could post a reminder that he has emails turned off, or request that he email you...but, personally, I probably wouldn't bother. If a seller doesn't have enough sense to enable contact options, they can't want to sell too badly.
 
If they request email contact but don't have it enabled or listed in the thread, then that's kinda silly.

Should be noted though that sometimes the "Send Email" thing doesn't show up on the username dropdown for some reason. Try going to their profile and seeing if it's listed on the menu to the left.

Barring that, anyone can send and receive Visitor Messages unless it's been disabled.
 
Hhmoore - i asked him to email me due to his email not being visible.

Kiah - he does not have the email option on the drop down off his user name.
