Just to be clear: the 392 is the DLC coated Ti handle correct?

If that is the case it's a very easy choice for me. 562.

1) I don't like metal handled knives. I like the grippiness of G10 or micarta.
2) I happen to dig orange G10.
3) I personally don't see where the 392 is worth an extra $120. That extra $120 can be put toward another nice knife...

Yes, 392 is DLC, as is the 562.

Added price as new to OP.

Easily the 392 for me because I already have a 562 and rarely carry it. I like the 562, but it’s not very often that it’ll actually leave the house.

I voted 0562 for the same reasons as gazz98. Looks like they would both perform equally as well, i prefer synthetic handles, not crazy about orange but like it with black, money saved with the 0562.

I don’t own the 392 but I imagine I would prefer it due to the more inline handle.

The dropped butt on the 562 isn’t that pronounced. So really either would be fine. Otherwise I find them to be extremely similar knives.

PS: is there a term that is used to describe a handle that has a dropped but? (So that the handle is curved and not inline with the tip?)

Dunno, but Dropbutt sounds good to me. Hinderer and Spyderco are famous for them.

Yes, I have long thought there should be a term to describe it. I guess I could say “non inline handle.” I find they often make the knife comfortable in a few grips.

It's a close tie, I have both and I dig both. I think I'll vote 0562 because of the price difference and because you can get replacement parts, if the 0392 was the same price and a more normal replaceable production model I would lean towards that. (Assuming KAI/ZT doesn't make a fuss about giving you a standard 0562 part to replace on the Sprint Run)

562 is just a better cutter. And more usable cutting edge. Definitely my choice for edc, as cool as the 392 definitely is.

562 and if you want it even more slicey, invest the difference in a regrind. Why? It's what I did and super pleased with the outcome on mine.

If they are both sharpened to the same angle, the 392 looks much thicker BTE. I am taking from the much taller bevel heights.

This alone would make me choose the 562.

Voted for the 392, I've had both but ended up selling the 562. You really can't go wrong with either as far as I'm concerned.

I think the 562 clip and profile makes it one of the most pocket friendly knives in that size range. The clip may be my favorite clip ever.

If you are talking about the two knives in the pictures, I would not choose the 0392. Although both are used, the 0562 appears much newer. The 0392 looks like having been used quite a bit, and the sharpening job done with it is quite average (the edge bevel is too wide).

This was a tough one for me. The 0392blk is one of my favorite knives, easily in the top 10. It fits my hand like no other and feels as solid as a fixed blade. However, the 0562 just carries and cuts better. With "user" being the operative word, I voted 0562.
