Uses for INFI

I was sitting around talking with a couple friends yesterday, and the subject of rings came up. One firend had just received a new wedding ring from his wife - he is a Deputy Sheriff and the ring was black with a blue band around it (think thin blue line). Was pretty neat.

The other friend's wedding ring was titanium. Both obviously a departure from the normal gold wedding band, but I think you are seeing more of that.

So, I got to wondering about a ring made of INFI.

Having no idea what it takes to make such a thing, I wondered what you all thought. Would you buy/wear one? Any downsides? Would it be sacrilege to have INFI that doesn't have a sharpened edge??

The closest thing would be a BARF....

"With this ring, I do thee wed" **** groom slides BARF onto his bride's index finger

*repeat with bride

NOW THAT'S A DOUBLE RING FIGHTER CEREMONY!

Mine was tungsten; you can't scratch it with a file. I'd wear an INFI one if the need arose.

I don't think INFI would be good for constant skin contact, I think the acidity and constant salt contact would rust it pretty quick.

I wear a plain platinum band. it is a nice silver/metal color. I'm not big on gold jewelry.

Get it krinkle coated!

:)

I'd get married for a hammered finished (jeweled), INFI band with a thin, high contrast snakeskin, green linen or Tigerhide stripe set in down the middle.
That's right...just for the ring. Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreciousssssssssssss. ;)

Hey don't say that too loud, you might start getting some very awkward PMs.....

If they start making INFI rings I am in.:D:thumbup:

That's pretty visually busy there, chief. Hammered and jeweled too... But I'd wear one hammered in the center and a stripe of blue G10 down one side and black on the other. And a matching saber grind blade jeweled on the high flats--oh hell yeah! Maybe I'll start a thread on the Busse Combat limited edition jeweled saber grind, see if I can get 100 million responses. Whaddya say? Hear, hear!

INFI Wedding Ring.
It would last much longer than most marriages these days.
Tried to get Jerry to make me a wedding ring a long time ago. Told the fiancée we'd get married when I got the ring. Got married with out them. Got divorced with out them to! Jerry knew something I didn't I suppose.

INFI with a tigerhide stripe down the middle would be awesome. I'd wear that!

Is that an "I do"? ;) ...LOL, sorry, j/k! :)

Hammered finish would be preferred, some refer to a similar finish as "jewelled", I don't need no stinkin' jewels, just precious metals. ;)

Something like this:

Yeah, I figured as much. I was also using it in the firearms sense, where an abrasive brush is touched to the surface spun by a drill press or mill. I think that would be very cool on a blade on the high flats, much like the picture, which is awesome.

Yes, as in "I do think a ring made of INFI and as you described would be amazing!" Don't be sorry, it was funny!!;)

That is one beautiful knife, too.
