Hey everybody, I thought I'd pass along this crunchy tidbit of info I've been using for a while.

USGS Map Finder

This map finder is so easy to use it's ridiculous. Just zoom in to where you want a map of, select "Mark Points" from the right-hand side of the page, click on that section of map to put the little red thumbtack in it, click on the thumbtack and select "order" or "download" to get your map. It's that simple. I've ordered a few maps this way, and have downloaded tons more. They open in Adobe Acrobat, so it's nice an zoomable as well as readable.

Hope you all find it as useful as I have. Me thinks this will make getting those maps of bug-out locations that much easier...  Enjoy!

Thanks man.....that's gonna help when I hike the Appalacian Trail later this summer.

This is something I've been looking for. Thanks.

I like using those and waterproof paper to make my own waterproof maps. Pretty sweet when you are in an area where Nat Geo does not print their really nice waterproof maps.

Glad you guys found it as useful as I have. Some of the maps are dated, but the topo stuff is still mostly the same.
