Hi all,

I've had the itch for a while to get a PCKS 110, and now's the time. I love the look of the damascus steel blade :)

What type of steel is used for the damsacus layering? Hardness? Will it hold up under normal use, e.g. skinning game, cutting boxes, etc.?

I want a beautiful knife that can be used :D

Thanks!

Jason

I have one, its sharp as hell, cut myself the first time I tried to close it, just keep it clean and oiled and it will work great. Just remember its carbon steel and will stain easily.

DB1,
Check Ebay out for a Damascus 110. You can find one with Brown Bone or Stag handle easily enough (and cheaply if you are patient), and not have to wait the extra time. The prices are not bad either. I recently purchased a 110 Damascus/stag from a guy I have dealt with before. Interesting thing about this knife was it has the original factory Buck Employees sales receipt dated 3/89, still inside the box. I asked Joe Houser and the man still works there. Peace,

Very interesting, thanks Mike! I hadn't thought of looking on Ebay.
