Hope y'all are having a good day.

This is a shout out to Casey Lynch for providing a solution to my problem. I purchased a grooved set of A. Putman G10 scales for my Para 3.

The scales are machined for the standard clip, making the top of the grooves higher than the base for the clip, unlike the factory flat scales. If you try installing a deep carry clip that extends into the grooved area, the base of the clip no longer sits flush.

Casey sent me a Ti shim that fits into the machined area and creates a mounting surface that is flush with the tops of the grooves. Perfect!

The clip screws I used are T6 2-56 at .25" long. One of the places you can get them is at Knifekits. As you can see, mine could stand to be shortened a little.

That’s awesome. I really like a good customer service story. I’ve actually never heard ANY bad things about Lynch clips or their customer service.

That’s also a really nice setup you have. I really dig the OD green with titanium.

The only thing I've heard bad about Lynch clips is demand is so high they are hard to get! Speaks highly of the quality.

Reviving this dead thread to say Casey is sending me one of these shims for my Yo2 Putman grooved scales. Can confirm awesome customer service and willingness to help two years later.

Thanks, Sal! Small world, I used to make you food every now and then at Big Daddy Bagels in Golden, worked there for 4 years. Cheers!
