Using Busse's to open your beer

Well I'm sitting here drinking a few beers, reading the Busse forums, and playing with my Busse's. I noticed that when one is holding a Busse everything starts to look like it needs to be cut. Or pried.

So I've put my bottle openers away for the last month or so and have just used my blades to open my bottled beers. The method I've found that works the best is to put the spine of the blade right under the bottle cap and your thumb right under the spine. Then when you twist the blade it pops the cap off. It usually takes me 2 or 3 tries. This method only works for squared spines I've found as I cant get my TGLB to pry a beer cap for anything!

I dont use the actual blade as I just don't like them touching metal and glass as a rule.

So far I've used my SOB the most by far (it's my daily carry), but the NMSFNO, fat ash, and Ratmandu variants work great too. No luck with my TGLB yet

Anyone have any other beer opening stories or tips on how to open a beer with a Busse? Whats your favorite model to open a beer?

Working in kitchens for about 20 years I can pretty much open a beer with anything :D
Tongs, spoons, knives, a counter, lighters, heck, even my wedding ring in a pinch

Ah! The "instrument fallacy" or "Maslow's Hammer." "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail."
