Very cool. Years ago I did that with willow and then cottonwood just made up very thin
shavings. I set them aside in the sun for a little while so I could gather some wood for my fire.
Them shaving lit right up.

I saw Iz's video and yours is great as well. This goes against everything I have ever thought about lighting shavings with a firesteel. I know what I will be trying this weekend. Thanks for the video!

So far everything that I have tried will light GREEN. Some work better than others, and there are many more to try ha ha.
This stuff is giving me a break from the friction fire fever.
