Using KME diamond stone on sticker side

I just recently bought a KME sharpening system and after sharpening 2 or 3 knifes I noticed that my 600 grit stone seemed to bite a lot less then the 1500. Once I inspected the underside of the both stones I saw that my 600 was already pretty worn down. I don't think it was because I put to much pressure since all the other stones look and feel fine (maybe it was shipped used idk). I was wondering if anybody knows if both sides of the stone (sticker side and normal side) is the same because then I would just remove the sticker and use this side.

Have you cleaned the stone? They do get clogged with metal dust and needs to be cleaned if it feels worn.
Most of the time I use mine dry, I'll use honing oil to clean them followed by soap/water wash.

I always use them with water and gave them a scrub in the sink afterwards so I don't think that's the issue.

How many knives would you say you've sharpened on this system? If it's less than, say, 20 or 30, I'd contact KME and ask them to replace it.

5 or 6 I think so not too many but I live in Germany and didn't buy it from KME directly I bought it from a European based knife and equipment seller. But I think it's best to try and contact them.
