Using Sharpmaker on Edge2x

Hello:

I have a Folding Alpha Hunter with an Edge2x blade that I would like to sharpen with a Spyderco Sharpmaker. My question is which angle most approximates the original Edge2x grind -- 30 degrees or 40 degrees?

(Looking at Buck literature, it seems like the 30 degree angle would be a pretty close match...)

If anyone out there uses a Sharpmaker on Buck products, I would appreciate the input!

Most of my bucks work at the 40 deg.Some do need the 30. My Vangard uses 30 and most of my others use 40, I do have a 110 that sharpens at 30 like it was made to.I dont know the technical specs on this ,it's just trial and error.

Good example, I sharpen my 279 Alpha (420hc) at 40.Matches perfect.Ya just have to find th angle that works best on your knives.
