Using the 0560 clip on the 0500?

Was thinking about this earlier today. One complaint about the 0500 clip is your pocket goes up into the clip over the top of the knife. I tried to lower the clip down in the valley, which helped some, but it still gets stuck in the pocket a little bit. I'm wondering if the 0560 clip would fit? I may try it out one of these days.

the mounting for the two clips is different. If you try to put a 0560 clip on a 0550 it will be on the knife sideways.

The 0500 Mudd

Hmm after looking at it again, I think the 0560 clip would be too deep into the G10 to be very good. Maybe with a spacer or something? But I don't think I want to mod the Mudd.

Maybe G&G made a grip clip to fit the MUDD that wouldn't have that issue?
I believe Gavin Hawk is on the forums still but not entirely sure that he is still active. He'd probably have an idea for you. You could also ask STR if he could do anything custom for you. Maybe you could mod the 0560 clip somehow rather than mod the 0500? Grind off the bottom screw hole so it sits down in the 0500 clip slot? Or you know, wear thicker pants! I can't imagine carrying that in thin dress pants or the high speed rip-stop nylon tactical pants. The MUDD is like cordura firehose pants and a rigger belt to help carry the weight style bad assness like a brick with a blade.
