HTC (and I'm sure others will follow) is coming out with a phone that is made of Aluminum-(Silicon Carbide) which is a "metal-ceramic composite material consisting of silicon carbide particles dispersed in a matrix of aluminum alloy". http://www.alphamaterials.com/AlSiC.htm

Soon you'll be able to whip out your phone for a quick touch up! :D

I would worry about the grit ripping out of the aluminum if they were not properly bonded. But if it works, more power to ya! Would be really nice to see somebody put a smart phone to good use! In fact, I see somebody asking to borrow a phone with the line: "I want to sharpen my knife on it."

All we need now, is a ceramic rod antenna! :D :D :D
