That said, I edited your post. Asking about value isn't allowed unless you're a paid member at a level that enables you to sell knives on Bladeforums.

If you want your pictures to show up, you'll need to use a photo hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket.
 
He probably bought it at a sporting goods store or at a gun and knife show. It is a rather popular model in the civilian market and easy to find.
