The Marine Corps is building a new museum on the grounds of the base at Quantico VA. It's just across Rte 1 from the Main Gate and is visible from I-95. There's a lot of construction equipment working there - cranes, etc. The steel framework is up and a lot of concrete is poured.
On top of the building is a big (50 foot?) structure shaped like a leaning over pyramid with a spar sticking out the top for another 20 feet or so at an angle. The whole shape, angles, etc. is oddly reminiscent of the marines raising the flag on Mount Suribachi. I'm sure that was the architect's intent.
