I have a USMC MK II made by Camillus. Does Camillus offer sharpening or should I look elsewhere? I have used this blade (as they should be) alot and would like to see the edge it once had.

I have been fairly successful using first a Lansky Deluxe Diamond kit on the hole that is second fron the top. I work through all four grits, then go to the Triangle Sharpmaker. Gets pretty sharp

Hobby and craft shops often have a person come in every month or so offering sharpening services. Bass Pro Shops offers sharpening, as does A.G. Russell. Also, you may want to give Newt Livesay a call or E-mail. www.newt.livesay.com

Kodmag,
Yup, CAMILLUS will sharpen your knife for you, no problem. But, I would like to say that the steel used in the 7" Marine Fighting/Utility [1095 carbon] is relativley easy to resharpen. If you plan on using the knife alot, which we hope you do, you might want to look into some basic sharpening tools. A simple bench stone can put a razor edge on a 1095 blade in just a few minutes. I personally use a Triangle Sharpmaker at home and in the hunting camp.
If you do wnat us to sharpen your knife for you, call 800-344-0456 and ask the customer service for for instructions.

Thanks for being a customer!
